I looked at the site as a consumer and wish there was better descriptions to each individual item and more and better pictures.

I also didnt like having to visit a paypal page to see what the price was.

Ok I understand where you are coming from and that was my next move I am in the middle of a photo shoot to get all of our enclosures up and looking good. I wanted to get some pictures up though. I do understand it needs to be more descriptive and better pictures.

    Thanks for your help

    The more the better

    Thanks

I read through this and it's all very common sense. But something that struck me as SO so SOOOO true : Put the price on the damn page

    Quote:

"The worst example of not answering users' questions is to avoid listing the price of products and services. No B2C ecommerce site would make this mistake, but it's rife in B2B, where most "enterprise solutions" are presented so that you can't tell whether they are suited for 100 people or 100,000 people. Price is the most specific piece of info customers use to understand the nature of an offering, and not providing it makes people feel lost and reduces their understanding of a product line. We have miles of videotape of users asking "Where's the price?" while tearing their hair out."
I'll use ball pythons of course. When I'm searching for a new addition to my collection, I am highly price oriented. If I see one that's what I'm looking for, I immediately look for the price. You know what I see 70% of the time? "Inquire for price" Or "Please Inquire" Or "Contact me"

GRRRR!!! I don't want to call you, I'm shopping. I'm moving on, sorry, you may have had a great animal for an unbelievable price, but someone else didn't make me work for it. Sry :/

That to me is PARAMOUNT for breeders with websites. Or anyone in general, lay everything out for them, don't make them work for it, or chances are they will continue to move along.

I will expand that to include Realtors. WHY wont you put the address on the damn ad?!!! I may like that house, it looks great with your fancy 200x400 picture (:/) But I don't wanna live on 8 Mile in d-town.

I understand you trying to grab the attention of anyone interested by making them email you, but I found a house for the same price in a neighborhood I like because they listed it. Thnx.

I should have some up dates here in a little bit. I have fixed as much as I can and hopefully it will load faster and I have fixed other minor things as well.

What do you guys think about the color scheme?

I saw someone posted about it. Is it a problem?

    Re: New web site
Pretty good, simple. I would recommend removing the frame. It squishes the "info" into nearly 2/3 of the screen with that frame taking up most of the space. People don't like to scroll its true.

Images are still large for their pixel ratio. I'm on a dedicated line, took a little bit.

Wonder if changing the font to arial or verdana would make a difference, and look like you didn't make this is an html class. New times roman or default screams "low budget" to me. Sorry for the harshness, I'm a little cheeky. ;)

Yea, huge improvement when you remove the frame.

Taking into consideration that most browsers use the "f" style reading, maybe putting your animals in line down the left hand side with the descrip on the right of it. It confused me when the bottom girl had name Jeezy, and then there was another name angel to the right of that with no pic.

    Also, spell check.

I went ahead and changed some things that I think would work well for you layout wise. I highlighted in red what I changed deliberately, blue is showing you that the descriptions are in the cell to the right of the image. I will admit, it's been years since I've coded, so you can laugh at it if you want, i wont mind. ;) (yes I'm at work and bored... ugh)

Awesome- I am stoked that people are helping me make the site better for them. It is coming together good and I will look at your improvements and thanks for the help.

Unless someones comes out and is giving me negative criticism instead of positive constructive cirticism......that is the only way I will take offense to anything.

You all have been great and the more coments the better. I like keeping in touch with everyone and always hearing other opinion.

    It has helped out TONS

    Thanks
    Danny
