    Aspen doesn't contain phenols, pine and cedar do. They make pine pellets and aspen pellets, so just make sure you know which one you're getting. I don't see how the pellets would cause problems, they are just heavy and may end up being dusty. Probably not good for humidity since they are meant to soak up moisture, but I've never used them.

    And why use repti-bark or that Aspen Snake Bedding stuff? I have NO reason to waste $8 on a ONE cubic foot, already expanded, bag of aspen, when I can spend $10 and get a 5 cu. ft bag, compressed. It's aspen, regardless of how they market it. Reptibark is just nasty, expensive and dusty, and will turn your snakes red. I don't think so, ick..
