Re: The only smell worse than a dead rat...
Ewwwww!!! What was the scenario? Did the feeding still go well?
I know I just fed my blood live. I was out of co2 for my little gas chamber. He squeezed that thing so good it bled from the eyes and mouth.

Try bloated, dead, drown rats in a rack system tub... This was only one drawer from a clogged spicket in the watering system and I wanted to vomit. I didn't even get near them--Kara was the one doing the cleaning of the bucket. Kara came home from vacation to an ENTIRE RACK of dead, bloated, drown mice...I don't know how she could STAND it. *shudder*

Houdini has done the same thing to me once. I couldn't figure out why he was sleeping on top of his hide on the warm side. Then I thought he must have pooped in his hide. He will sit up their if their feces/urine in or near his warm hide. Apparently he didn't like the smell either. Thank God I have a strong stomach. :puke:

Nasty! A brood of dead/half eaten baby mice is lasty too.. found that in my tack box out in the barn (wild mice.) Shudder....
Liquid human manure spread on a field on a humid night beats any smell in nastiness though! The septic-tank cleaner trucks get to spreadin' their love... YUCK!
