Need a favor: someone to help me sex bps in DFW area

Do you guys mainly pop or probe? I have some babies Id like to figure out their sexes (I know what theyre supposed to be) but TX is a lil far from Syr, NY... I know both can be harmful if done wrong but is either one safer than the other?

Nope, both are pretty safe if you have been shown how to do it. Sometimes you have to get the feel of things first. Some people have told me that popping adult males can cause them to prolapse, which is completely untrue. Once you get the feel of it, it's a piece of cake. Probing is easy too, but also, you have to get the feel of it and make sure you're not being too forceful and puncturing something.

I took my first BP to the vet to get her sexed and he wouldnt do it bc she was too small and he said he "hurt" someones snake before and they complained so he refuses to do it... he told me its a very simple process(probing) and you just have to be very gentle when sliding the probe in... correct me if im wrong... you need to find the correct size probe... carefully slide it in headed down the snakes body towards the tail and it should only go in a couple scales on a baby (female between 3-8 scales) and a male is a little bit further... Man I wish I had someone to help me with this... I want to find out if my sexes are as they should be but am a lil iffy just trying it out with out someone showing me.

hi, i found this article on popping, it seems good but im not going to do it on my snake. would anyone care to share what they think about it. i mean is it actually how you do it or are there any faults in the method?

Looks like a well detailed article to me, but I have no experience at all so your right, there could be some faults.
I really wanna know if my snake is a boy or girl... someday i hope!

Was anyone still up for meeting sometime this weekend?

I might be able to do Hillsboro, meet in the middle something like that, but I don't think I can come up to Dallas again so soon. My car's inspection needs done, so hopefully they can do that Friday.

I appreciate the offer, but Hillsboro is a bit of a drive - a little further than I want to go. Hopefully someone closer can help me out; but if not, I may take you up on that!

Just so we don't have to meet at Carl's Corner or something, I'll be ok ;)

I get paid Friday, and could probably come, I just need to get an inspection done(like.. 2 months ago, heh).
