    Tankoo!

Well, I figure i'm up to three of the little boogers now... with one or two others in mind... I still want a Chain and a Sinaloan milk... one of the spotted ones, not the striped ones... maybe a Chihuahua Mt... and of course, eventually, that ghost Honduran. Although i plan for all males since I don't plan to breed... I don't feature any of my babies eating each other!

The kingsnake section of this forum is sadly quiet...

Rhy is peeking out of the spout of his teapot hide as I type this. It's such a sad thing my camera is dead....

LOL....very sad indeed! Get that fixed asap!! :evileye: :P

I agree that the kingsnake forum is definitely on the slow side. But hopefully, as we bring in more colubrid lovers, those forums will begin to pick up and be as popular as some of the others!

I'm starting to theorize that more people don't own kings... because there's this wild misconception that they're somehow deadly... Everybody I tell I've got kingsnakes, they go "Wait, aren't those dangerous/poisonous/venomous?!?" at which point I explain Voodoo the Narcoleptic Wonder... and they stare at me in disbelief... usually because the concept of a snake with a "personality" is a whole new fascinating concept to them. It's usually when I get to the part about my snakes enjoying being scritched under the chin (well, along the sides under the jaw, at the "jugular" point, not under the chin-chin like a cat) in the exact same way my birds do, that their brains seem to fall out and roll across the floor... http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...oteImage-1.gif

Although the sheer number of people who've had the Stupid Snakeowner Experience is truly astounding... :taz:

And what is it with everybody having a "I know someone who owned rattlesnakes" story out here?

    Thank you! :P

I had a moron at work pay me a "compliment" on him today by commenting that he'd make a lovely wallet or pair of boots (I was showing someone else his picture at the time). :tricho: :fork: This is the third such comment I've gotten and I'm rapidly considering moving from trying to politely educate about how sweet and friendly and personable snakes are... to just commenting back that I'd love a beagle-skin handbag and watch their reaction. :taz: :fishslap:

I really need to get and post pictures of my tanks. Rhy coiling through the white rose and ivy garland around his waterfall is truly lovely.

Beautiful king! I'm a fellow colubrid lover and my fiance and I have a snow corn and one king. I'll have to get back to you on what kind he is though. I plan on getting more corns and maybe some other colubrids down the road though, so you are not alone on here. :D

Now I want a kingsnake! Dang I need to make up my mind on what to get, otherwise I'm going to end up with a house full.

    Beauty of a snake =).
