    Just a suggestion, buy some extra equipment, tub, uth (second uth if needed), thermostat/rheostat/dimmer, digital thermometers, water dish, hides and keep them at your folks house in a closet or something. It won't take up much room and you can store most of the items in the tub, if it's big enough. This way if you are making trips home you don't need to lug the tank around and take only the snake.
