So then it is a myth that the ink on a newspaper that does rub off is toxic to snakes?

I used to help out with a paper delivery route and my hands were BLACK by the end of the night just by touching them over the course of 3 hours. This wont actually harm a snake at all?

From what I remember they changed the formula for the ink they use ages ago over to vegetable based so it was no longer toxic. Hopefully somone better informed on the subject can chime in though.:)
