You should also consider that they're building a new site and that the prices reflected there could be a couple years old. Their Lemon Pastel Price is "$3200.00 - $6500.00 Graded", and the date given for their "Available" animals is dated 8/03 and as we all know, Pastel BPs have gone way down in price since '03. So, while they do have many snakes that are big dollars (and worth it, for a unique, living piece of art work--for those who can afford it ;)), the prices currently in their galleries don't necessarily reflect the current market value of a particular snake.

2 albino rainbow boas just went for 100k a piece for the pair he will probably earn 10 times that if he can successfully replicate them on that same note my local breeder a few years back lost 3 adult proven breeder albino balls to respiratory infections that he had just purchased for 12k there is no ins available for snakes that i know of

    I don't care.

I think it is quite ridiculous to pay some of these prices. Do these snakes clean dishes and fold clothes?

Anyway, if I bumped into someone paying 30k-100k for a snake I would laugh in there face, collector or not.

Unless they have a plan written out to start breeding. But even that is risky cause how do you know the snake will breed? How do you know the snake will live?

Sorry, but they are my thoughts.

N4s its a gamble go to vegas youll see people drop 10k in 1 game of poker some people just have more to gamble with the past has proven that theres less of a risk with albino snakes than black jack

though i cant remember what the first albino balls went for but i think they were more than 30k i know the albino retics were around 75k these high end snake breeders keep looking for the next one cause we are all buying the offspring

There are plenty of people in the world who would find it a sinful waste to go out and spend $50 on a dinner out at a restaurant. It's all a matter of perspective.

Personally, I don't have any problems at all with someone selling a snake for $30K or $300K. Nor do I have a problem with anyone spending that much money on them. If you can...more power to ya!!

and i would have to say if you have 50,000 dollars laying around your not going to spend it all on one snake just to reproduce.......what happens if you open the tub and it's belly up

This makes it sound like someone who would drop $30K or $50K on a snake would have just ONE snake. Usually, when someone is spending that kind of money on animals, they already have a rather large breeding colony and business established. Yes, it's still a risk because the snake/animal in question may still die or never reproduce or not prove out genetically. But that risk is entirely relative. For me, it would be an unthinkable risk at this time....but I know people who could easily drop that kind of money on a project of that quality. They'd be upset if it didn't work out...but not anywhere close to devestated financially.

Also, something for you guys to realize. Most people are not paying that much cash outright for a snake. Most of these transactions are cash and animals that would equal the monetary value of the snake being sold.
