Ahh! Shipping Nightmare! Help!

Last snake I had shipped to me was from South Carolina (I'm in California). It was shipped via Delta Dash.

The animal was shipped out on a Thursday at 3 PM and due to arrive in Oakland at 10 PM. I called at 9:30 and was informed that the incoming flight from SC to Atlanta was delayed and that my snake would not be arriving until 10 AM on Friday.

I expressed concern about temps and was told that he was being kept in a temp controlled "pet room" at Hartsfield and not to worry. At 11:45 that same night, Delta Dash calls to tell me that they made a mistake and my poor little snake arrived in Oakland at 10 PM. I am 30 minutes away from Oakland and ask if they can hold him for me (they close at midnight) and that I will make it worth their while.

No dice.

Oakland does not have a temperature controlled animal room. I made sure I was at the Airport cargo area at 0500 hours the next morning. Temps in the DD warehouse were in the mid 50s that night.

Long story short, luckily he was fine. Mr. Alan Bosch has packed him well. Nonetheless I brought a heat pack and a sterlite bin and got him good and warmed up.

Hopefully your snake will arrive safe and sound tomorrow morning.

I've ordered from JnJreptiles before. She was packed well, and even though the fedex guy walked up to me practically juggling the package that says 'live animal' all over it (>_<) She didnt really seem bothered by it when I opened the box. I think your snake will be fine for another day, and the people at jnj seem really willing to help. I'm sure that with both of you pestering fedex, something will get done. I REALLY hope things turn out ok. I remember feeling anxious and wondering if my girl would get here alright. Good luck to you.
