Ah yes I will def invest in the herp.2 ... even thinking about getting the pro cause I will always have babies who will always have smaller flexwatts in their cages which will need to pump out less heat... always something to think about... I'm at work right now and just did a quick search on "radiant heat panels" and clicked the first thing that came up... said they ran between 200-400$... didnt look at anything else but that ... good to know they arnt that expensive! Is there any threat to the snakes with those being in the cage? Like if they were to slide across the heat panel could it potentially burn them? Im so full oh questions today... thanks for dealing with them all :)

Heat panels mount to the ceiling of the cage, not the floor, and they are very safe to touch. Pro Products had a display of them at Daytona, and I was able to hold my hand on the panel for quite awhile. The heat output was enormous, and felt quite nice :)
