I would make those hides nice and short to the ground. If they are babies, then they will fit under something that is 1-1.5 inches high. For my babies and juvies, I use 6qt tubs and 15qt tubs. They fit just fine with 2 hides(or 1 hide in the 6qts) and a water bowl. Cramped is good :) It mimics a nice, tight burrow for them.

My BP's must really like me... I don't use hides at all in my rack, except for the 1 juvie that's in a 32qt, and even he doesn't ever use them...

Whoa! I can't believe that big ole snake got under that water dish! I just emptied out a small sour cream container and butter container, but even that is going to be too high. I'll drop them down to 2 inches high with a 1x1 "door". Wow.
