    There are numerous things you can use for a hide. I've used everything from half log hides to flower pots turned on their sides and half buried to plastic containers of various types (also turned on their sides and half buried).
    You can pretty much use anything "bowl-ish" as long as it's large and deep enough for the spider and not glass or of a material that will rot or deteriate like paper, styrophoam, etc.

    I got a little half log thing for it. I was actually told it's about to molt so I'll see I guess but don't really know for sure.

    Well, if it goes into its hide and webs up everything, including the entrance, that's your sign to leave it be. ;)

    and since it's a baby, make sure to mist it every now and then because slings tend to dry up faster. mist the sides so the slings can drip the drops but DON'T use a water bowl as the sling may drown.
