    It's a moot point since I turned him loose in the ranchland behind my house a couple of days after I posted :D Too much of the outdoors tries to come in around here for me to keep everything I find! I haven't seen him since, so I hope he found a good spot to live and grow.

    That Brown Snake he found was 6 inches long, which means its mid-section was no thicker than an average pen, and that's way too small (and less than capable LOL) to eat pinkies. Callisto (we found out "Maver" was a girl so I changed "his" name) is 14 inches long and only a bit thicker than a pen so she's staying on worms and slugs.
