Ed check out the first case upper left, the fully acrylic one. It's a wall mount but something like that would display the jersey fully from all sides while protecting it and likely could sit on a desktop as well. You'd want to keep it of course out of direct sunlight to avoid any fading (UV rays are bad) and I know it also shouldn't physically touch what is housing it. I thought this case looked like the perfect answer for you.
