I've sent 3 emails so far... 1 to the original ad for the $100 price, one once she raised the price to $300 doubting it was a super at all (which that pic is now that I've found it on NERD's site also..) and offering her $150, and one pointing out that the pic was lifted from someone else's site, and requesting pics of the actual animal. I haven't heard back from any of them...

A while back someone had posted two bp's needing rehoming on CL. Showed a pic of a pie bald and I think an albino. Turned out the breeder lived in montana had the snake pics on his website. The sellor wanted like $500 and lived in the UK. Or so they say.

So its got to be a scam. I see them all the time on CL. I just ignore them now, and post a warning to everyone. It either gets deleted by the author or flagged off.

Ok, I just re-read the posting. She is obviously trying to scam someone.

This is the email that I got from her at 1:39 pm. Also, the email address says ~ High Country Reptiles ~ Port Orchard, WA.

"Hi. She is a super pastel, and her mom was a pastel het albino. I wouldn't state that she was a female unless she was probed as such. The picture does look just like her, and mimics her colors well."

Heh--for someone who's got a snake her boyfriend left her with, she's got an awfully good knack for lingo "pastel het albino" and "probed as such"... ;)

Someone with no knowledge of reptiles outside of having a significant other with one, wouldn't likely know about the genetics or about what probing or popping is. Not impossible, just unlikely.

    This just makes me mad...

I hit CL several times a day looking for adult females for my breeding projects and this is the crap I get... Her original ad was more believable though.

Wow, so she still has the snake after they broke up, and she's getting deployed very soon. AND just happens to have a business named High country reptiles? Or is that to make her sound legit so she can sell. OR if she does have a business, why is she being deployed? Who's gonna take care of all her reptiles???

Maybe that was the last one.... Im sure.. >.< stupid ppl

why are you looking on craigslist for breeding projects? thats more like a place to pick up some rescues. just cause the snake is an adult doesn't mean it is gonna be good to breed. you have no idea of the condition, the genetics, ect.

if you really need to pick up something for your breeding projects i would check out kingsnake.com. you're still gonna have scammers here and there, but it's overall a better place to look for "breeding projects".
