Thanks. Also how much is a 10 gallon tank again? I have $165 to use, I don't want to use all of it but I might have to. If it comes to when I have to go bankrupt then I will just go with a bigger snake.
Also the thermometer in the house is usually in the 70s.

    Hi,

Well for a BP you want the cool end at 80-85 and the warm end at 90-95 so you are definately going to need supplemental heat. This is why I keep asking what you already have.

I didn't mean the thing you use to measure temperature but the thing you use to control the heater.

The thing I use to control how hot or cold it gets in here is in the 70's right now. I'm confused :(
    Sorry, I'm new to everything.
    How much would a 10g tank/tub cost?

    Hi,

I see where the confusion in coming in.:)

The price of a tank varies and the best way to find it exactly would be to go to your local petstore with your folks and see what is available - also look at tubs from office depot or wallmart too.

Best thing is to make a list of what you will need with the prices - this helps you make sure you have everything.

The thermostat you are talking about controls your whole room but the one we are talking about is used to control the heater only on your tank. It might be worth your while to search on the forums for "thermostat" to see what we mean.

Another good idea might be to get someone like your folks to join as well then you can plan it all together - it can be a really good project to do together and at the end of it you might be able to get some extra help with some of the more complicated parts of the set up too.

Do the temperatures in your room stay the same all year round or does it change quite a bit?

I think it changes but not alot. What exactly would I need? If I got a bigger snake which I think I am going to do to save the money, I would still need the heating and things right?

I love BPs, but why not get another beadie if you already have the set up? $165 can get you a lovely healthy juvie from a breeder, plus have money for food.

(I'm just biased becaues I love love my beardie!)

PM me about beardies if you'd like.
