BPs are well known for fasting. For some reason, only known to them, one day, they'll just stop eating. That sounds like that might be the case with the adult male.
As far as the hatchling is concerned...I'm not sure, honestly. I've never had a hatchling, so I dunno what to tell you as far as that. =/ Good luck, though!
