well in my area, there isnt a petstore for about 15 miles. So i want to start ordering them, and i figured since i was ordering rodents, i would order rats.

First I think feeding one mouse a week would be more than sufficient for your BP if they are in the 200 grams, if you overfeed them sooner or later they will go off feed to catch up.
Now on the switching you need to take it one step at the time, try to offer a live rat pup if you BP refuses do not offer a mouse just wait until next feeding day.
Once you are successful and you BP eat rat for at least 3 to 5 feedings than you can attempt to switch him to F/T.
