As far as my three snakes go, I've found them to be pretty quick learners when it comes to picking up patterns.

Re: help
I'm a firm believer in simple routines with the snakes. They seem far more calm and less defensive if what occurs in their lives stays relatively the same. Routines and a calm keeper just seem to make for easier to handle snakes. :)
Disclaimer: The day you believe though that anything you do will "tame" your snake completely...is the day we get to all enjoy your "I just got bit" post LOL. In the end, they are snakes and snakes do what snakes do for whatever reason snakes do stuff. :D

Re: help
funny you should mention that frankykeno..
I was bit for the first time last weekend! I was in the pet store talking to one of the attendants and he told me they just got this beautiful baby carpet in but that it was a bit "nippy". I was interested so he got him out of the sack for me. He was indeed a wee carpet whose head was only about as big as a man's thumbnail. He spazzed out a bit at first but then calmed down. He was so small I didn't really think about the fact he was in strike position. As the guy was holding him for me to see I said something like "Yea, he is really cool looking along the sides here.." as I gestured with my hand. He bit me so fast I didn't even have time to react! What amazing speed. It was like somebody stuck four tiny needles in my hand. It bled a little but it hurt quite a bit for such a tiny injury!
