Cleaning, what do you use?

I use dawn and method bith diluted and lots of rinses the method is an all natural antibacterial cleaner that has just about no warning label on it

I'm an oddball....I use 50-50 original brown Listerene and water. Kills germs, cleans well, and smells good!!! Don't use any other color, it all has sugar in it and dries sticky, has to be the original brown. And generic works just as good as name brand.

Most of the mentioned work fine there are some general guidelines to follow. Nothing safe sill work of dirty surfaces so the first step is clean them well with soap/detergent. dilution and contact time, most things take at least 5 min to work and some as long as 30min to work. The surface must be saturated and kept that way during the contact time. Some things need to be washed some don't. Follow the instructions if you are not you have no idea if it works.

Listerene being a chemical geek and as it has come up every now and again. I check with them they do NOT suggest it to work on hard surfaces and diluted it doesn't work at all, from a tech at J&J. It also has a limited range it kills germs that cause bad breath not a wide spread bacterial, fungal and viral like many others. The other part is it contains thymol, a variation on Phenol. (...nol chemicals usually do) Phenol (naturally found in cedar) is very toxic for reptiles even in small amounts. I would suggest that straight alcohol or 10% bleach to be more effective and about the same. F10, CHG, CHD, peroxide to be safer and easier.
