Re: Bumblebee vs Pastave (not a "what to buy" thread)
From what I have learned, Paradoxes like this may not be 100% a lucy, but it could be just a mojave, or pastave. I think it is just a coincidence, like the super cinnie that has a ring of white. Only in breeding can we tell really what that snake it. Mojave, or a lucy. Hope it helps, and the snake is pretty fresh, so he isn't the fullest looking, but in a few weeks after it is shed, and feed a few times, it will be plump, and like a ball python should be.:D

Re: Bumblebee vs Pastave (not a "what to buy" thread)
Okay, first and foremost--thanks to everyone for replying!! It's really helpful and I value your advice and opinions. ^-^
And secondly, Kagez, I really would love to keep whatever I produce permanently, but honestly I can't. I don't have the cage space, and that's the fact of the matter. I am fully prepared to house the offspring until I can sell them or give them away, but I cannot keep everything I produce permanently. It just isn't feasible or realistic. I'm not out to have a dozen of everything: one of each is more than enough for me.
I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought of the animals as inventory or anything like that, because I don't. I adore my animals and would never think of them as such. It was just the way I phrased it.
Dr Del, that's actually a great idea (referring to your first reply)! I hadn't thought of that. Thank you!! That definitely puts a new perspective on things.
And that paradox lucy is...both odd and awesome at the same time. But it kinda does look...ill--I think it's the head. The color on one half and nothing on the other...yeah, it kinda freaks me out. But in a good way if that makes any sense!
Pythonprincess, I understand what you mean, but I wouldn't be willing to do that. It would be undervaluing the animal unless it sold for that price regularly, and it would also be cutting the throat of all of the other breeders with the same animal--it would force them to cut their prices on the animal to keep up sales, which would permanently devalue the animal because nobody will want to pay if a price rises again. I would not under any circumstances want to undermine other breeders or the BP market in that way; there's already enough cutthroat price slashing going on without me selling an animal for less than half the current market value.
The reason my original post sounded a bit cold was because I didn't want to say, "I can't decide which pretty snake to buy! ;__;". :P
But after thinking about it a bit more and deciding that yes, I really do like mojaves and pastaves better than spiders and bumblebees (homan, I can feel a mutiny forming after that last comment...*hides from the bumblebee fans*) I think I'll just go ahead and go with my first instinct and go for the mojave. Like Dr Del said, I can always trade! 8D
Thanks everyone! (if this was a little random and...em...badly written i blame it on sleep deprivation. 2 hours of sleep in 48=:colbert: )

*grins* That "oh no you didn't" made me imagine a teenage girl snapping her fingers back and forth in the face of another, from some movie I saw about cheerleaders. O.o;; It made me laugh, in any case!
And as for the mojavebee... Woah! What a beautiful animal!!! Okay, that definitely makes a spider necessary at some point in the future! *shakes finger at* Darn you, (aquascum! >.> I watch too much Finding Nemo.) Mricyfire! Making me want two at once...It's cruel I tell you! :D
