The only reason to cut eggs is to see what's in 'em. If the babies are healthy, they will pip with no problems at all. If it has been a few days since the first pip, and there is still an egg that hasn't, cutting it for the snake's sake might be called for, but I have never had a baby die because it couldn't pip. I don't think cutting eggs is bad, and have never lost an otherwise healthy baby from cutting clutches. There will probably be a few clutches a year that I will cut, but only to satisfy the desire to know if I hit the odds.Quote:
