    Cool Side temps 82-84 degrees.

Did you sterilized the enclosure and everything inside of it before putting this new BP in it?

I like your thinking. My female that I purchased 13 yrs ago was coverd in mites and ticks. That was the reason I picked her. I felt sorry about the poor care she was getting. She is currently fat and healthy and sitting on 6 eggs.

i try to think for the animal is its best interest and when he was sick and out of my control no need to make him suffer so i got him the best care possible. and i need to get this guy sexed. in my eyes being this big i think its a female. it was the dominant one in the whole tank. so gorgeous and calm, with the body in the cave and jsut bout 6 inches out resting on the log. too cute

Returning it to the pet store isnt getting it the "best care possible". Chances are they will throw it right back in the tank you picked it out from (or whatever they had it housed in).

And you cannot tell sex from size. But if it is female, then good for you.

Most pet stores dont give a rats @$$ about their animals. Just see them as a profit. If you were to tell them, they would either
    a) ignore you
    b) kick you out of the store
    c) remove it to make you happy then put it back in later
    d) do the right thing; which we know what it is and which is also highly doubtful
