Re: Habitat Help! - New Ball coming early next week
So... I've decided to wait off for a few more days before bringing anything home because the friend who borrowed my enclosure for while he was out of town has yet to bring it back and I want to make sure I've got the temps worked out again with all the new stuff I bought the other day... That, and he was the one taking me to pick it up!
Which is good, it makes me less angry with him that he hasn't bothered to get in touch since getting home because this way I'm not rushed and feel better about having everything perfect first as opposed to later. :) Although still annoyed because I've been worried about the two Pines I set up since I left... I had to tape the enclosures closed, and I wasn't sure about exactly how much water to put in with them or that they wouldn't tip over what I did put in for them (I put in two large shallow dog bowls because it was all I could find being in someone else's house by myself)! That, and the female is extremely snippy and not welcome to handling so once she was in I couldn't even make sure everything was in a good spot for her because I didn't have any gloves with me.
Thanks so much for all the help everyone, I really appreciate it! The more time I spend here the more and more I worry about the advice that I've been getting from the friend who's been helping me out so far...
Hmm... Incase it wasn't already apparent from my two posts, when it comes to animals I'm a worrier... The situation was aggravated by a dog that I agreed to take into my home at 2 years old because his old owners were threatening to put him down... He was so sweet and cuddly, but 6 months later I found out about a severe heart condition combined with epilepsy... It made medication for him far too expensive for me to afford on my own and I had to rehome my own dog (vet bills, 600$ a month - for life)... Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have a caring friend in love with him who had a husband wealthy enough and willing to take on the costs... He's much happier, and even participates in professional skee ball now, but it's made me so anxious about having any other pets since and pretty much broke my heart..
So really, thank you so much to everyone here, you've all been wonderful.

Okay... Here's the pic since I know how much you all love them!!! And good news, I got my camera to cooperate (it only took half an hour and about 20 or so tries) even though the enclosure is pretty dark inside.
