That is just super awesome. There is nothing better for a kid than a horse; period :)

I should add though.. horses are more addicting than any substance known to man. They have been known to drain pocketbooks and eat dollar bills for lunch! ;)
But they are waaaay funner than money. I never had a twenty-bill drool on my shirt or steal an ear of corn from my hand..

Reminds me of my first ride. It was actually an appy that looked very similar to the one in your pics. But the thing had to be 17 hands high! I will have to dig that pic up; I have it framed but I want to scan it anyway. The ground was a looong way down, but like your daughter probably will, I was addicted and begged and pleaded to go out and ride the horses (at a family friend's place.)
So did she have a good time? Is she bitten by the horsey bug yet?

she's totally bitten in a big way. all she talks about is when she can go back to the barn. ;) of course, my girlfriend and her daughter are happy to feed the addiction so my little one is a happy girl!

while they were 'doubling' at the beginning my daughter was saying "so will you teach how to make him turn, go faster, stop, etc etc so i can ride without your help?"

this horse is a lot taller than the one my friend owns... not sure how many hands it is though.

That's cool. It is even better that you have an easy outlet for your daughter; I had to beg and plead as a kid (the horses were owned by my dad's boss, and that's just what he loved.. hanging with his boss on the weekend.. lol.)
You should tell your daughter that someday, if she works at it and everything, she will have a horse (or more) of her own. :) Hey, if this former miserable-in-the-city kid could do it, she could too!
