Re: Does anybody use hand sanitizer in between the handling of different animals?
I use the heck out of the stuff. After I handle each snake and whenever I have someone over to see the snakes I always make sure they use it before and after each snake they handle.

yes and wash my hands afterwards too!
Re: Does anybody use hand sanitizer in between the handling of different animals?
i dont use it in my own collection, but when im at work and i handle all the different types of animals (especially mice), i make sure to use hand sanitizer before going on to the next animal.
Re: Does anybody use hand sanitizer in between the handling of different animals?
I typically prefer a good hand washing between the handling of animals so long as there is a sink and some soap near by and my hands are thoroughly rinsed and dried.
I myself have very sensitive skin and find that a lot of scented products irritate me, and because of this I always worry that the commercial sanitizers (most of which carry some scent) will irritate the animals...
If I don't have access to the sink however, it's out with the hand sanitizer... I work in a call centre and have some on hand at all times!!! I've also found that things like unscented antibacterial baby wipes (in the small travel packs) work wonders as they also remove any traces of dirt or debris that may be left on your hands or under your fingernails, the wipes are my first choice next to soap and a towel!

Yep. I use before and after handling my snakes. After cage cleanings etc I use it then wash my hands good.
I have a bottle in my truck I use while at work as soap and water is not always handy, bottle right on the rack and a bottle over at my clean-up station.
