Angolans are my favorite snake, BY FAR!

    Re: Angolans Question
I saw my first Angolan today - an 07 male in a tub at the local reptile store.
If they are rare in the US they are almost unknown in the UK so I was impressed. Look like lovely snakes and I do hope that breeding gets the prices down in the not too distant future. The guy I saw today was about £600 (1200USD) if I remember correctly.

Saw a pair at a show on Saturday, they are ok, wasn't impressed myself, but we all have different tastes. :)

Kev got me a pair a couple of years ago & I absolutely LOVE them!!! I've been raising them up slow & steady & am looking forward to pairing them up next year. Very cool, intense little snakes! :D

Dont boas have big clutches? Why are they more expensive than balls?

Thats what im thinking. Also because not a lot of people have a good handful to breed simotaniously.

Im no expert but just guessing and throwing my 2cents in.

Im not really sure. I only used it as an example (and not a very good one). but the only thing i have bred is golden retrievers. So i do not know why exactly boas are more expensive than balls.

I don't believe that boas are more expensive than balls, but the other way around. Boas can easily have somewhere from 12-20 in a clutch or more(depending on varibles, husbandry etc) Balls avg. 4-7 eggs a clutch (and could be depending on varibles).
