When it comes to light bulbs, I always buy the regular hardware store variety. There is really no difference between those and the ones specifically made for reptiles, other than the price.
I've been doing this for years for my snakes that get lights and have had no trouble at all. You'll only notice a difference in how much money you spend :-)
