just out of interest becuase we both live in the same area.

what vet are you useing because i only 2 herp vets in the middle east. and unfort all of the snakes including BPs are WC in this area, they get shipped over from ghana were farmers find eggs, and live snakes and wont money for having them taken from fields and such as.

becuase of this is reccomend you find a vet that knows what he/she is doing, and also try and get a poo sample so they can test for internal parasites, aslo have the vet look for ticks, becuase it is not uncommen that they get transfered from snake to snake when they are brought over. becuase the snake is kept in a large box with maybe 50-100 others.

if it would not make me broke, and i could get hold of supplies better out here i would breed, so i could sell decent CB snakes. then people wouldent have to use the crappy and mean pet shops. but unfort if i did this i would spend my entire bank account attempting it get enough supplies... not including feeding bills.

maybe if countrys like we both live in the middle east try to pick up there act and build some inferstructure and get decent companys that sell decent pet stuff. maybe even a couple of herp shops. then people out here would not have to deal with WC snakes.

out here snakes are brought for a trophy purpose, they constenlty die becuase they are kept with out heat mats or lamps becuase arragent people just want to look cool.

even worse the police and govement know this crualty happens in the stores and because they would rather get a bit of money from them then care for the animal. also the police force out here dosent do jack. infact its completly corrept. considering most of them help get visa's for prostatues-drug dealers- and just plainly sell them. this entire area is going to hell really.

becuase the police dont care and the only animal welfare groups are K9 and feline freinds (i actully help run this) these snakes have nowere to go once people get bored of them. my snake (normal BP) i got it from a call to feline freinds and they said they couldent help this then got transferred to me, and i manged to save its life.

ok my ranting is done..... this information will probly not help just thought i would get some stuff of my chest...

good luck with the snake mate. :sunny:

***Edit*** Anybody can correct me if im wrong, but as far as i know, gerbils are their natural diet when they are wild.

    Hope that helps! :D

gerbals are EXTREMLTY hard to comeby on this area. for some reson. in UAE they seeem to be banned or all dead. dunno y confuses me. :S

    Hey hi Liam
Thank you for your kind support , How many members n this forum are located in the Middel East??
Actually , things seems to going ok the snke is more settled .. Unfortunatly the mouse i kept on the side died.. But the snake is all culed up in his hide and just looks fine , so will plan on leaving him there for another month and see how he will go
Actually Liam in K8 , one guy is starting to breed snakes .. But i guess he has breed Burmese pythons and is selling them. A friend of mine confirmed that to me cose he saw them in his pet store. Here in Bahrain , one VET is setting up a designer pet store ... It looks amazing to be honest , very clean and attractive , but as far as i know he will not be seeling snakes .
Do u know how many people have snakes in the UAE... here in Bahrain i asked around and it seems that around 20 or so do have snakes... But i guess all of them are wild caught .
