Re: Change of Plans
Well now we have a new change of plans. A friend of mine came to my work today and said she had been trying to get a hold of me for a week. She has been very busy lately and feels she can't provide the needed care and attention for her single female sugar glider and was wondering if I could take it. She is willing to give me cage, accessories, the glider, and everything that comes with it for free as long as I promise to take care of it.
So now, come September when I move into an apartment (hopefully) then I will be adding another glider to the family. This puts a hold on getting any more snakes, lizards, or anything else for that matter. I will always help an animal in need of a home before I buy one. The female glider needs a home, so I'm giving her one, with me. Why must I have such a soft spot for animals?

Re: Change of Plans
Just my 2 cents!
Don't hid animals.....period. Say one day your grandmas cleaning and she sees that snake and freaks. And makes you get rid of all the other animals you have? But congrats on the new SG!

Re: Change of Plans
I agree with what Justin said. This is not the same thing, but a few years ago my other half and I got an apartment together and we hid my two rabbits. Long story short, owners got word about my rabbits and told us to get rid of them that day OR to get out. Sadly at that time we didn't have anywhere else to live or go so he and I took them to a shelter.

Re: Change of Plans
I'm not hiding any animals from my gma. She is well aware I have one snake, lizard, and two cats. I don't plan on getting any more animals till I move out. The current sugar gliders I have (the two boys) are still with the couple that sold them to us. They are keeping them at their house until I have the apartment. As far as the apartment, I don't think they care what you have that lives in a cage as long as it doesn't get loose or does not pose a threat to the public (venamous snakes).

Re: Change of Plans
Oh! The second snake lives with my fiance. He'll be coming to live with me when I get the apartment. :carrot:
I asked my grandmother to cosign for me and she said we'd talk about it so I'm really crossing my fingers on this one. Both her and my mother know its time I get out and live on my own, so maybe she'll help me to do that.
