RTBs aren't a species they are just a common name for a red tailed boa. True red tail boas are BCC (Boa constrictor constrictor). Like a suriname, guyana, peruvian are all BCC and true red tail boas. The species is boa constrictor. The subspecies is BCC^^^ and BCI (Boa constrictor imperator which is also a RTB but not a true RTB.) Its confusing I know.
