Re: What data do you keep track of?
Degei free version here also. I used to use index cards when I had less and tracked every little thing from opaque, shed, urate, poop, feed, refusal and weight. Now with over 20, I just track feed, refusal and weight.

I keep track of sheds, feedings, poops, and weights for the 1st 6 months. By then they're all pretty much in a set routine and very healthy. After that I just keep track of sheds and weights, and refusals to eat. If after 6 months, they're having problems (not feeding regularly, etc) I continue to keep records so I can track their progress.

Feedings, sheds, and poops ( 1/2 the time) and weights.... I also use index cards and plain old notebooks. There is a file folder that has a slot for the individuals that the cards and papers go into once they are full front and back. I more or less picked up the habit when I acquired some adults, and was impressed that the previous owner had been very diligent. I was able to read back on some all the way from 04'...... Thought about using a program, but figured if I wrote it down once.... why take away from my bpnet time!?!? :P

We track feeds, refusals and weights. On weights I keep a simple Excel spread sheet that once I print it out after updating I can see at a glance weight trends for a year for all my snakes. That has really come in helpful.

When breeding, I get pretty anal. I track pre-breeding weight, which boy is put with which girl, how long they're together, the dates I see a lock, POS date, date laid, number of eggs/slugs, weight of the entire clutch, the date they hatch, the # that hatch, weight of each, and type of morph in the clutch. My family calls me a nerd cause I like to look at the data to plan for the next year.

Right now I have index cards for each of the critters and have been tracking vet visits, eating/refusals, size of meal, poos, sheds, and IF I catch them, when they're in blue. When I had mites, I recorded when and how I treated for the little bloodsuckers.

I didn't when I got the first snakes, but after the 3rd, I've kept track of weights, when I first get them after purchase, and then about every 4-6 weeks after that (or when I can remember to do them around the feeding schedules.   )

I'd like to do the weights more often, but I forget until after I've fed...and then I don't remember again before the NEXT feeding. :( I HATE working nights and the short term memory loss. :sigh2:

I think I'm going to stop w/tracking the poos....I dunno. My vet asks about it...and I'm sure, if there were any issues like constipation or blockages, I'd WANT/NEED to know when the last poo was.

Once I start breeding, I'll do like Alice (at least the best I can)....matings, dates, POS, lock-ups, etc. I hope to have strong records so when I sell my babies, they'll be good information for the new home.....especially on the hets I plan on. :D

I just track feeds, refusals and sheds....I'm gonna start tracking weights once i can find a gram scale.

When i only had 3 i'd just write on the calendar who ate and on what day, ...but now that i'm up to 13....i have a 3 subject Mead Composition notebook that i use to keep track of everything...and it works fine though i've noticed that i've forgotten to write down a couple sheds.

We use Degei here as well. We track feedings, refusals, sheds, weights, etc. We usually only track defecates and urates on very young snakes or newly acquired snakes until we see they are well established.

That is what I cover along w/ findings from any vet visits ie weight, meds, problems etc
I keep mine on a large daytimer folder for all three bps. I just divide each month into 3 columns.

Re: What data do you keep track of?
I use one index card per animal and track meals, sheds, weights, cool down dates, mating partner(s), ovulation, pre-lay shed and egg laying info. I think thats it. With so many snakes poops and peeps don't make the cut. LOL! :D

Oh yeah and medication/illness if applicable.
