Jason they all look wonderful! Just bursting with good health! On a side note, how do you take those wonderful crisp shots? I'm a bit camera stupid and need someone to do a step-by-step instruction thread on taking high quality snake photo's (*hint* *hint* *obvious hint*) :)

Vaughn hit it on the head....My camera isn't really all that special...just a Point and shoot with a decent Macro setting. But lighting really is key.
I bought a few pieces of white foam board (non glossy stuff) and set up a few clamp lamps with daylight bulbs projecting onto the board...and snakes, snap photos, viola!
It really is quite fun trying to take pictures of them...but some snakes are down right stubborn...thats why you have yet to see my VPI male pastel in either of these series.

Okay so I need some of this non-glossy white foam board, a couple of clamp lights with daylight bulbs and a co-operative snake. Use my macro setting on the camera....gotcha. Last question...I assume no flash and just normal room lighting or do I make sure the lights are off in the room and just rely on this lighting setup?
Ohhhh one more question LOL. What do you use to add in those nice borders?
Re: Want more pictures? *Cavemen Beware DUW*
Those are some amazing snakes! My fave is probably the IMGish girl, that pattern is stunning!
Since I don't have a cool camera, I wonder if SEARS would take pics of my snakes? :D

Correct, no flash used it washes out the colors otherwise...and with the white background makes it VERY harsh to look at... I tried that...pictures didn't look good. Room lights were on...I have daylight flourescent bulbs in my herp room. So it just helps to make it brighter.
For resizing pictures and the borders I use the program Corel Photo Album 6. No other editing is done with the pictures...and to date those are the truest representation of the actual look of my collection.

They may...but I bet that'd be pricey!:P
BTW, my camera is just a $200 Kodak digital that is now three years old...they don't even make the model anymore..and my "lighting setup" only cost a few dollars for the white foam board, and about $5 for three screw in fluorescent daylight bulbs.
