Hi,
No untrested tap water shouldn't pose any problem at all to a BP - they are not that sensitive to it in the way that fish are.
here is a link to the glass tank setup sticky - if you look at the section on taping the lid it should help with humidity.
In the mean time it is perfectly fine if you wanted to lightly mist his tank with water to raise the humidity while he is shedding - I wouldn't spray the snake directly but the sides and substrate should be fine.
Hope he looks all nice and shiny for you when he's finished.:)

those dull piece might be some stuck shed... try giving him a 30 min soak in a small tub with luke warm water. after 30 mins dry him off by having him slither through a damp cloth. might help

Yes those dull patches look like stuck shed...this is probably why you think hes shedding again its probably still the first shed just all hasnt come off yet

I would get rid of the half log hide (they are not a great hide for them) and get another rock hide like you already have if its secure enough. You need 2 identical hides.
