The only thing I've found while reading about these zebra hybrids and riding is that it's hard to do this with normal riding tack due to their lack of withers (apparently horses have withers, zebras do not).

Hah.. a pinto zorse.. I've seen solid colored zorses before, but not that! Now an appaloosa zorse would be interesting..

People do train zorses for riding.. they can be good horses, but need an experienced trainer.

Jen a friend of mine had to zebras that he was training to ride. He was using his mule( that was trained to cut cattle) to train them to lead. It was very hard to handle them alone. I saw the vet there trimming his feet once and they had to give him some serious tranqulizers that would probably kill a horse of the same size. Not to mention a blindfold and they had to get him to the ground and he was still kicking. He only kept the friendlier one at the barn. Because I am sure you know zebras are usually very mean. Maybe the cross with horses changes their attitude though.
