Re: Pics of the Redfoot cage
it's not entirely known what the cause of pyramiding is, it could easily be many things compounded, or it's just something important missing from the environment. Either way it's not good. It's been contributed to, no D3, too little protein, too much protein, insufficient humidity, problems with calcium... just to name a few. The shell development does look slightly off, but nothing huge yet, you just need to check your conditions and diet.

For those of us who love torts, but have little-to-no experience with them yet....can you please explain what you mean by "slightly off" on that particular shell? It looks fine to me, but I'm obviously oblivious to what you're looking at. What should I be looking for as an idicator that something is nutritionally amiss?
Re: Pics of the Redfoot cage
Here's a great site that tells you about pyramiding and possible "causes". As qiksilver said it can be many things.

I don't have a trained eye to see the beginning of pyramiding, if you run your hands over the shell and it feels slightly "bumpy" or notice the scutes (I think that's the term) are growing into pyramid shapes then you may have pyramiding. The link above gives pictures of pyramiding as well.
