Tiny Pastel update!

I have never heard anything like this, so sorry this happened! Sounds like you did everything you could, poor little thing.

aaw, tim i'm so sorry. :( i'm glad she was able to receive such awesome care for the time she was here. i know mother nature knows best, but sometimes it just doesn't seem fair.

Heck, that's sad, so sorry to hear that. Sounds like you did the very best you could for her while in your care. :hug:

Tim, I'm very sorry to hear that - I'll echo what has already been said here - she was in very capable hands and probably just wasn't meant to survive. Doesn't make it any easier!

I am so sorry to hear that she didn't make it. I do know that if she could have survived, your excellent care would have made it possible.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. Monica had been asking me for a week or two if I was going to give you guys an update on (Tiny), that was her name, and I was waiting for her to eat her second meal. That way this post would have been about her success. But, she didn't make it to her second meal. This is only the fourth snake that we have lost, and it doesn't ever get any easier. I thought I could accept this one better, as I almost expected her to not make as soon as she hatched.

I know you probably tried to not get attached Tim because your experience told you she didn't have much of chance to survive but isn't it always the way that these little ones that struggle so hard that really grab at your heart.
