    Oh, a cross speices can get saminilla from each other, but one of you said it before...if something contaminated by a infected snake was handled by a person, who handled or fed something to a dog, then the dog could get infected. Dog licking an infected snake from a dirty pen. Dog, cat eating a lizard that has it. Per. the person who suggested the dog eating a frog, or lizzard is close. My vet says it is highest with turtles, then lizzards and on down with snakes low and unlikely.
