Re: So, I'm looking on Craigslist....
I check CraigsList in my area every day, both under Pats and Free. I've seen a few snakes (some free!!), but my wife would kill be if I got another herp. Unless maybe it's a good looking morph.
Well, I'll keep looking!

It's a good thing they don't sell live stuff on eBay!!!
Re: So, I'm looking on Craigslist....
I too check Craigslist often. Mainly for computer parts or stuff I can convert into tanks. Once in a while a nice gem comes along.

Just want to point out that because a python survived living with a Boa Constrictor, there is still reason to quarantine new additions from your established collection. There are other bacterial and viral infections that can possibly be passed from python to python other than IBD. Speaking from personal experience here, and just want to make sure that is known.
Re: So, I'm looking on Craigslist....
He had had a fecal done as well as seen my exotics vet(yes, I EVEN looked at his bacterial load). I didn't say I recommended NOT quarantining, but that the snake was healthy despite being kept with a boa for 3 years of his life. We all have heard of some people using normal male balls as the guinea pig to see if a boa has IBD or not. If he had been sick, he would have already showed outward signs. I am an extremely careful person, and none of my snakes have ever been sick, nor have they ever had mites/internal parasites. They still get fecals every year regardless.
Anyway... Tim is still healthy to this day and is actually getting up to a size that a male ball of his age should be at.
If it says anything, I quarantined an already quarantined boa for about 5-6 months. She was kept at 2 separate locations from my collection during that time.
