Re: Stowaway in a Green Spider orchid...
lol if I only had a webcam. Killdeers have an egg at it's smallest about the size of a quarter. they have brown , grey and black speckels. also have very pointed tips to the top of the egg. This egg has a leathery feel to it so reptile all the way.
BTW I have heard of people shipping BP eggs is this true?? How dose one go about doing that?! is it safe for the eggs?
(sorry, question that has been burning in my mind for a while but I felt it didnt need a thread of it's own.)
Re: Stowaway in a Green Spider orchid...
It might be a anole or swift egg. Not sure but good luck with the eggie!
Re: Stowaway in a Green Spider orchid...
Sad news. The egg died. I dont know if it was 2 hot to cold to humid but it dented all the way in like it was flat. at first something might have hatched out in the middle of the night but there was no slit for anything to get out. maybe when the egg fell out of the soil it might have fliped, I really didnt know how it went back in so I did my best and it must have drowned.
I feel badly about this but it is a good lessen. When in doubt leave it to nature.
but there is always a part of me that wants to see and wonder if I could have actualy hatched out this little critter.
