Re: unexpected
Hi there!
I am in the same boat with my possible parthenogenic snake "Mila"
This is a first for me too & was worried she was too skinny on the tail end...I do need to get a better t -mometer & hygrometer but all seems well on that end.
So I will be checking back to see if anyone gives any good pointers.
Thanks,
~Shari

Re: unexpected
Well, no pointers I see....I did get the accurite & its showing 20% difference in humidity levels, I don't get it its showing 59% & it feels humid as hell in there!! Im spraying all day (not the eggs)
Dusty...how's everything coming along for you??

Re: unexpected
Shari, what's showing a 20% difference?

Re: unexpected
The dial hygrometer is showing 80% & the digital is showing 59% & it feels so humid in there, feels more humid than 59%, but then again I don't have a built in hygrometer so - who know's.. :sigh2: I worry much more now that she's on eggs.

Re: unexpected
I got it up to 65%, & I can probably keep it there if I sit & spray all nite long .. Did that guy on Man vs. Wild just drink his own pee???? :eyepoppin I'm sorry I got caught off guard by that :pee:  Anyway I do trust the accu-rite, I just thought it felt pretty darn humid in there.

Re: unexpected
Shari... get some moss, bed a beast, or cypress mulch and soak it and put it in there. That will help keep the humidity up in her tank.

I have lotsa moss in there already.....it is wet, its not drafty in there at all either, I put damp paper towels on her hide too.
Thanks!!

Re: unexpected
well almost at the half way point (and i'm still holding my breath, waiting to turn blue)
any ways here is an uptodate picture of her sitting on the eggs
https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...ashaoneggs.jpg
if you look close enough you can see that the one on the far left has a few wrinkels in it and the one in the center looks squished, but they have looked like that from get go i'm thinking its just the way she is layin on them.
so far they all still look good and there is no bad smell in her tote to tell me something is wrong.
so i am still keeping fingers crossed that i will soon have 6 healthy lil snakies to fill the house with (for a while).
oh, and as far as the humidty and temps, i slid my probe over to just a few inches away from where she laid the eggs.
the temps are running right around the 87 deg. mark (this is at the front of the tote, back is over part of the uth so running warmer), but the humidty was running low so to help this issue this is what i done.
went and got an air pump for a fish tank, the air tube, air stone a small bowl and a sponge.
ran the tube through one of the air holes in her tote hooked it altogether and placed it in one end of her tote.

so far its been helping to keep it right around the 49% range.
i have given her two small f/t mice sence she has laid and she ate.
only time she has gotten hissy with me is if some one else is tryn to look in on them besides me:colbert:

Re: unexpected
Good job!! :gj: She is looking really good...
I think I'm going to go ahead & feed Mila a little something, I just know she'll eat & she needs to for that matter.
Oh, dip$... me didn't put the thermometer unit in the right spot, so my humidity has been HI% the whole time.....fretting over nothing :imslow:
