I knew you'd want to see it Robin. Here's the link to the schedule for this show. Just like National Geographic shows, you can register for a reminder to be sent to you. :)

i think it's great that bindi is following in her dad's footsteps and i hope her little brother will do the same. yes, i think that she is being pushed into the media too much for such a young girl, but i don't think she would want it any other way. i can't imagine being so young and living the life she has. never in my life will i see a quarter of what she's already seen. i hope she continues on her father's work when she's grown. he had a rare passion and it's really a shame that he can't share it with us anymore. but his family can.

That was too cute when she was holding the retic's head and kissing him. :) It's great to know that there's another generation of little croc hunters, and I'm sure their kids will follow the trend.

I wonder if anyone could hold that little girl back anyways LOL, she's got a lot of her daddy in her. Teri Irwin comes across as a very grounded woman, with a good head on her shoulders so I think she'll steward both her children well through the maze of publicity and their committment to the zoo and Steve's causes worldwide.

Funny, maybe it's a generalization here but I used to have housemates from Australia and I can honestly say I've never met more down to earth folks. It was during the time of the first Crocodile Dundee movie and it was hilariously funny to have a housemate that spoke pretty much that way as a matter of course. Graham could never figure out what people found so amusing and interesting about that guy in the movie LMAO!

I don't think Bindi is being pushed at all. I think it's more her wanting to do all the things herself. I liked the show for all the scenes we'd never seen before. She's quite a cutie, and pretty talanted.
I think the worst part about her preformances is that she seems stilted and very much like she's putting on an act while saying her lines. I think as she gets older, and starts doing more documentary style and less of the 'tv show' style, she'll become more relaxed and more natural seeming.
I really enjoyed the special, but I dunno if I'll want to bother with Bindi the Jungle Girl. I think it looks a bit too young for me. She's definitely had quite a life so far, and I'm terribly glad to see that there will be more Irwins in the conservation efforts.
Terri also looked great, and I'm glad to see both of them on tv again.

I saw an interview with Terry and she said that Bindi WANTS to do all this, and if she came to her and said she didn't - they'd stop immediately.

I agree - Terry is very grounded and I don't perceive her as a "stage mom" who's going to push her children to do anything they don't want to do. Bindi genuinely loves the animals and is very proud to follow in her father's footsteps to be a "Wildlife Warrior".

Bindi's only eight and from my perspective, she's acting pretty much like any talented, outgoing little girl her age. It may come off a bit "stilted" but that's about normal for that age group when they are trying to project their personalities and words (and haven't been dragged to every acting class since they were in diapers). :)

Remember too this is a little girl whose dad was very out there and over the top with a very strong personality so she'll naturally emulate her daddy's ways to some degree I'm sure.

I wasn't saying anything bad.. just stating about her acting style. Some people ahve stated they didn't like her... and I think that's because they are comparing her to her very talanted and very experianced father who was very natural in front of the camera. I think with a few years, she'll be every bit as good as he was in front of the camera.
I much prefer her honesty on tv to the polished professionals.

We watched it last night and the kids are dying to see Bindi the Jungle Girl (but then again, my son is totally in love with Bindi )
We have always loved watching the Croc Hunter and my kids have pretty much grown up with the Irwins via the TV.
I agree that Bindi's performance is a bit strained, but she's only a kid and yes, she'll get better and more relaxed as she gets older.
She's an adorable girl with a good head on her shoulders and has some wonderful parents.
I think what she and Terri are doing is awesome, not only to keep Steve's memory alive but also to continue with his works and loves.
    Kudos to them!
