    I wonder if it's the 10 gallon glass tanks versus your tubs Sarah. I have tried twice in the tanks and had utter failures both times with babies eaten and the females killing off the adult male. I think I'm going to wait another few weeks then set up a tub system with 1:6 in it and see how that goes.

    Well, in my particular case, I'm using some of the same tubs now that I was using with the pet store mice, so that's not a factor. I haven't ever used glass tanks with the mice.

    The two big changes I made were with my supplier and with the number of mice per tub. I had a ration of 1:4 before, and now I just throw all the pregnant girls into one of two tubs. There are probably 15 females in each one, either pregnant or nursing.
