Not the most confortable or quietest car on the road, but sure is fun when the roads are smooth and curvy.

I have pictures that are rather large and I am far too lazy this early in the morning to resize them, soooo...I will post the image links, instead. ;) Gin, your Jeep is awesome! My boyfriend loves Jeeps.
Also note these pictures were taken with my camera phone just about 30 mins ago...I really wanted to share so I just went for it. Low quality, but hey! I was anxious to show!

#1 - My ultimate baby...I completely adore him. His name is Blaze and he is a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, infernal red I believe the color is called. These photographs do not do the color justice. He is the same color as my cellphone, and both, I have a tough time looking away from. No special modifications have been made, other than a chrome gas tank cover thingy. I, too, want to chrome this baby out. :D

#2 - I also get to play with my grandparents' 2004 Dodge Ram 1500...this one's got a hemi! Again, no special modifications. These two trucks do just fine without them! Both, I'd like to make better to look at, but otherwise, they have enough power for us and are great to drive around town as well as on long trips.

I also have a 1976 Chevy side-step pick up, which will be a side-project. By the time it's done, it'll have massive power. I just love cars and trucks that have a great look to them and are fast/powerful. I think it's close to an obsession. I picked just the Chevy to put that much work into due to limited funds, but eventually I want to do just as much, if not more, to my Dodge.

Nice rides! But I am more of a fan of liftin' it up instead of sinking it down for 4wds. I don't know if I want to do a Jeep lift though, because like me, it is already pretty unstable and something like that could push it over the brink for highway driving.. lol.
Fishmom, I am luvin' the Jeepin.. let's see if I am right; is it a TJ? I didn't think it had square headlights.. that would be a YJ.. and the new ones are the JKs.. Mark would kill and die to get a CJ-7; we are looking for one to restore. Frame is the only thing that matters for that, for now.
Ladydragon; that is a great shot w/ the deer!
And I fially get to see what the mysterious Cue drives

running large tires has a few drawbacks...fuel economy and power go right down the tubes. Plus it puts a lot of wear and tear on your u-joints and wheel bearings which leads to more replacement/repairs. As far as stability goes, you can regain stock-ish stability with a lift by using wheel rims with less offset (or is it more?) which puts your tires out wider to give you great stability. Check your local laws to find out if you need to extend your wheel flares to cover a wider stance.

unless you are wheeling enough to care about ground clearance I'd stick with the stock height and tires. Any mods you make to the drive train (including wheels and tires) will have a negative effect on your on-road driving experience.
