She's beautiful. I love that dark, almost sienna color that she has, rather than the normal dark, dark brown and black of most BPs.

I got my 4-year old girl from a friend also, and she spends all her time on the cool side of my tank. I later found out that they never kept a heat lamp on her so she's gone 4 years of her life living at room-temperature. I guess she's used to it now. Very rarely will she get under the heat lamp.

I suppose she knows what she's doing. *shrug*

Well, I figured that she didn't know there was a warm side, so I moved her there and she went in the warm hide. Now she goes back and forth as she needs but still spends most of the time on the cool side.

As far as them "messing" with the probe it's no big deal really. You can either hide the long, thin cord under the substrate or feed it out and back into the enclosure, then tuck the actual probe just inside the warm side hide. It never seems to bother them but if they do drop a urate or feces right on the probe just wipe it off with a baby butt wipe, don't immerse it in water. Also if you are a live feeder remember to pull the Acu-Rite out before putting in the prey item. Had to learn that one the hard way myself *shows off her current collection of ruined Acu-Rites* LOL
