Yep. The sheer number of morphs makes it incredibly difficult to make a single choice. My first animals were recessive hets, and my first morph was a Pastel. Everybody has their own opinion on the best first morph, but I'm still of the belief that Pastels are the best. With the way prices are falling, you'll have alot more options when your girl is ready.

now your getting it, yep a mojave to a normal ( with good odds) will produce 1/2 normals and 1/2 mojaves. you could also produce all normals or a great number of mojaves so you never know but thats the fun in it.

Yes 50% Normals - 50% Mojave, but keep in mind those are odds and it all comes down to whether or not the Ball Python god is smiling upon you ;)

and also those numbers are the odds per animal not per clutch. You could get all normals or all Mojos also possible but not probable.

I do not think you could go wrong with:
    a) a clean-patterned, spotless Spider male.
    b) a nice, blushy Graziani Pastel Jungle male
    c) a nice, blushy Mojave

Maybe for a beginning breeder, buy an already-proven-breeding male?
