Hmmm Help Me Plz..

Get a cattle trough. Can't beat those for housing. Monitor lizards need a very think soil as substrate. 2' soil depth minimum would be great for a savanah.

Why did you decide on a sav. monitor or nile? I figure it is because they are the cheapest of the monitor lizards.....they are only available as WC or CH.

Do yourself (and the monitor) a favor.......study monitors intensely, decide which monitor you would like to keep, setup the appropriate housing, then get a quality CBB monitor lizard. Ackies would be a great lizard to start with if you are really interested in getting a quality monitor lizard......lone males go for around $150 each and can be great to keep ;)

that's it right there folks. savannah monitors typically don't survive long at all in captivity, and niles are a bad idea for all but the keepers who know monitors very well. you need to do a lot more research, especially since I have only seen maybe one or two pictures ever of a healthy captive sav. personally i think you have a lot more research before you're ready, but if you do it, then i wish you the best.

well nile is too big.. and sav is cheapest so I was thinking give them a try..and for I did not say nothing about Ackies because they r hard to find and if I want one I have save money to get them.

if you want cheap, you shouldn't get a monitor

well if I can find a cheap Ackies that fine...

i mean heat and care, even if the original monitor is cheap, they're one of the most expensive reptiles to keep. and it's just sad how many die due to lack of proper care. i just want you to do it right if you're going to do it.

Go with a black and white Tegu.

I think they are pretty praticle for a big lizard. They can tame down very nicley but will require a cage at least 8x3x3.
