I have a regular ol' Texas rat and have to say, he's the sweetest thing! We take him to outreach shows we do and I have no reservations about letting kids hold him. I can grab him and do anything without worrying about getting bitten.

maybe the lack of color removes brain cells too? :rolleye2:

    Yikes, that is insane!
I had a BP coil and attach to my hand; I dunked her into a fish tank and it did nothing. Mark had to gently pty her off of my thumb.. ouch was that painful! I was very glad that he was home.. if I were alone, it would have been much harder to remove her.
I have a fiesty corn snake, but here is what I do to remove him from the tank: I use a knobby grapevine branch to gently hook him out, and then I gently and non-agressively remove him onto my arm/hand.. he gets more curious and has never bitten at me after removed.

I am one of the lucky ones. My LTRS is fairly docile. She gets cranky when shedding though. Gloves are bad to use to that exact reason. If you have a snake that bites and starts to swallow, you have a problem. The best thing to do with an evil snake is use a hook or just take the shots.
