    I had to give him back to the pet store when my dad refused to buy me mice. (I was 13)

    Now I am 16, and will wait a week........

    But Ill try and get pics on the shed status, gotta wait for my mom to get home with camera.

    I handled him right when I took him home cause I knew it would be my oncle chance, and about 50 minutes ago since I had to move newspaper around anyway, and he was roaming

    Hes basking in the lamp right now so.... but yeah he usually lurks from 7-11 pm anytime around there.

    The hides should be small enough so the snake can touch the sides and feel "cramped", so there shouldn't be any room to put crumpled paper in the hide. However, you can fill the tank up with crumpled newspaper in order to make the snake feel secure in a large environment. Alternatively, you can partition the tank like you suggested, just make sure that it's secure and can't get stuck between the partition and glass where it can possibly get injured.
