Re: Need advice please!!!!
I have some encouragement for you. I recently adopted a corn who was just fine in his former home. here' he would start going nuts when i started taking him out of his tank; tail rattling, musking, hissing. What I do now is, I use a 2-inch-thick grapevine stick to Gently hook him and take him out of his tank. Once he is out, his demeanor changes and as long as you don't wiggle your hand in front of him, he won't bite. It oculd be something related to stress; but you have to remember, these are anomals, not collectibles or toys. Any one of them cound bite, strike or hiss at any time, and it is just something you get used to; as long as all husbandry issues are met.
Re: Need advice please!!!!
Thank you! I do use a snake hook for all of the snakes, I even have a little mini one for the corns. I was wondering if that was part of the problem too, if he was being snatched out of this tank with a hand and given little or no warning of the upcoming lift.
If I were a snake and I was already uncomfortable because I was going to shed, plus I was hungry (when he saw the snake was in blue he didn't feed it last week) then all of a sudden there is no ground underneath me, I very well might musk and rattle my tail and strike too.
I just want to do this right, and I'm trying hard to see things from the corn's point of view.

SOunds to me that you're on the right track :) Seeing things from their point of view is always a great thing to be able to do.
